National visa and residence permit for digital nomads (Law 4825/2021)

Greece's digital nomad route is for non-EU remote workers employed by, or providing services to, companies outside Greece. A national D visa gives one year; holders can then apply for a two-year digital nomad residence permit, renewable. The income bar is EUR 3,500 a month after tax, rising 20% for a spouse and 15% per child. Since February 2026 the first application must be made at a Greek consulate before travelling: visa-free visitors can no longer apply from inside Greece.
