Visa-Free Short Stay
Ninety days in any 180 for visa-exempt nationalities, counted separately from the Schengen area.
Visa-Free Short Stay
Cyprus is in the EU but not yet in the Schengen area, so it runs its own short-stay count. Nationalities exempt from Schengen visas can visit Cyprus for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and time in Cyprus does not use up Schengen days. Holders of a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa can also enter. It covers tourism and short business visits, not local work.

Good to know
- Cyprus is a useful base to pause the Schengen 90-day clock
- Fly into Larnaca or Paphos rather than the north
- Cyprus is expected to join Schengen eventually, which would merge the counts
- Entry via the north can lead to refused entry later
