The Philippines established a digital nomad visa by executive order in 2025, offering a one-year stay renewable for a second year to remote workers employed by or contracting with entities outside the Philippines. Eligibility is limited to nationals of countries that offer a comparable arrangement to Filipinos. Implementing rules, income thresholds and the application channel were still being rolled out at the time of writing, so treat the specifics here as provisional and confirm with the Department of Foreign Affairs before planning around it. For most people the 9(a) extension route remains the practical choice.

1. Confirm current requirements
