C1 Tourist Visa

The C1 is the workhorse visa for people who want a long Bali season without qualifying for the E33G. Applied for online before travel, it gives 60 days on arrival and can be extended twice in-country by 60 days each, for a maximum of 180 continuous days. It is still a tourist permit with no work rights, but for a six-month stay it beats stacking visa runs.

Good to know

  • 180 continuous days is the longest tourist stay Indonesia allows; plan the exit before you arrive
  • Agents handle extensions cheaply and save several trips to the immigration office
  • Each extension needs biometrics in person at the local immigration office
  • Leaving the country cancels the visa; it is single entry
