Thailand Privilege Card (formerly Thailand Elite)

The Privilege Card is a paid membership that comes with a long-stay visa. There is no income requirement, no employer test and no paperwork about how you earn a living: you pay the fee and get a multiple-entry visa with five-year stay stamps renewed on entry. Tiers run from Gold at THB 900,000 for five years up to Reserve at THB 5,000,000 for twenty. It is expensive, and it does not grant work rights, but for people who cannot document income cleanly it removes the entire problem.

Healthcare

None required.

Good to know

  • Worth comparing against five years of DTV renewals plus extension fees before assuming it is overpriced
  • Airport fast-track and limousine transfers are included on most tiers and get used more than people expect
  • The fee is non-refundable if you later leave Thailand
  • Tier terms and pricing have been restructured more than once
