The traditional tourist visa still matters for two groups: nationalities that do not get visa exemption, and people who want a six-month multiple-entry METV so they can come and go without re-applying. Each entry gives 60 days, extendable by 30. The METV requires proof of funds and is applied for from your country of residence.
